History

After spending several years as a Ford Zone Manager within the Southeast Region, our founder Valerie Pompa, recognized on a firsthand basis a common gap within a dealer’s new car ordering process. She saw that a dealer’s car ordering process would benefit from a resource that solely focused on managing inventory vs being managed by a non-full time dedicated resource. This resource would handle all aspects of the car ordering process and become an accountable partner to the dealership. In 2006, Valerie took her idea to several dealers and the rest is history. She now manages new vehicle inventory for several of the largest and most respected dealers in the country.

Valerie (Val) Pompa – President

Val founded AMC in 2006 and has over 25 years of experience within the Automobile industry. Prior to AMC, Val spent 6 years with the Ford Motor Co. holding positions in Ford Customer Service and Ford Division. While at Ford, she held various Zone Manager positions throughout the Southeast Region. These positions gave Valerie first hand insight into the inefficiencies within the wing to wing process from order to delivery. Val is a respected automotive inventory professional and currently serves on Ford’s Order One Committee and Ford’s Southeast Dealer Advisory Board. Val holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Scott Balsley – Inventory & Operations Manager

Prior to AMC, Scott spent 16 years with the General Electric Company within their Energy and Security divisions. Scott managed a global team that provided quarterly financial estimates for a $5+ billion global GE Energy parts business. He also held various roles concentrating in Commercial Finance, Operations Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis and Lean Six Sigma. Scott brings a wealth of expertise in data analytics and process efficiencies that will be focused on helping our customers grow.

Scott graduated from The State University of New York at Brockport majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Economics. He also holds an MBA from The Rochester Institute of Technology and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Rhonda Wheeler – Inventory Manager

Rhonda comes to AMC with 33 years of experience with The Ford Motor Company.   The majority of her career was spent in a Sales and Marketing capacity. She has held many positions in their Fleet Customer Information Center (FCIC) as well as the positions of Field Order Scheduler and an Order One Specialist.  As an Order One Specialist, she assisted in the launch and trained dealerships on Ford's Web-Based Dealer Ordering application (WBDO), Smart Inventory Management System (SIMS) and order process management.  Rhonda has a degree in Business Administration from Northwood University.

Dawn Aldrich – Inventory Manager

Dawn comes to AMC with 22 years of experience with the Ford Motor Company.  Her early career was spent in Ford Customer Service and Ford Division, where she held Select Zone Manager positions in various regions and gained valuable in-dealership experiences.  She joined the Order One team just in time to learn the SIMS (Smart Inventory Management) analytics before assisting with the launch and development of WBDO (Web-Based Dealer Ordering).  She trained dealers in the U.S. and Canada on both applications and knows the ordering process well.  Dawn graduated from Walsh College in Troy, MI with both a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) and an MBA degree.

Johnathon LeClair – Inventory Manager

John joined AMC in 2020. Prior to AMC, Jonathon worked in the healthcare recruitment field for a medical staffing company. He also worked for Chili's Grill & Bar for over 17 years as a new restaurant opening trainer. In this role, Jonathon was able to travel the world training new restaurant staff. He's been to Russia, India, UK, Denmark, Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic. In his spare time, he loves to watch movies and travel whenever he can. John attended Palm Beach State College.

Randy Mason – Inventory Manager

With nearly 4 decades of automotive industry experience, Randy is well-versed in all facets of the business and is a great asset to the AMC team. He is a former Certified Ford Master Salesperson and Inventory Control/Dealer Trade Manager who specializes in the Ford brand. His in-depth knowledge of dealership operations includes commercial fleet sales, parts and service. Randy also spent several years as a Fleet Commercial Accounts Manager for Ford. Randy is a graduate of the Trans-American School of Broadcasting and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Randy joined AMC in 2021.

Mark Marino – Inventory Manager

Mark Marino joined AMC with 13 years of automotive experience, working as a Buick GMC Zone Business Development Manager and gaining OEM dealership experience with Chevrolet, Mazda, Kia, and Toyota.  As a Business Development Manager, he was responsible for market and key metric analysis to drive channel sales solutions.  Prior to his automotive career, Mark’s diverse business experience with other Fortune 500 companies included leadership roles in Operations, Project Management, Business Strategy, Business Analysis, and Human Resources.   Mark is recognized for his ability to identify trends, develop competitive strategies, and execute projects strategically.  He is also a Navy Veteran.
